Angulation:
Well-balanced angulation of the rear legs is crucial for “the type” of a Cane Corso, ensuring efficient propulsion and a powerful gait.
Deep Stops:
A Cane Corso’s noble head is characterized by deep stops, which create a distinct indentation between the forehead and muzzle.
Squareness:
The type of a Cane Corso is square, with the body’s length and height at the withers being approximately equal, showcasing balance, strength, and agility.

The Iconic Kennel was created in 2012, with the first litter of pups producing some of the kennel’s cornerstones. Our objective was simple – to bring out the best in the breed by prioritizing puppy selection. Through strategically arranged breeding scenarios between many of the world’s best bloodlines the Iconic Corso Kennel cultivated our most desired attributes in our dogs.
Our approach is deeply rooted in a commitment to ethical breeding and the welfare of our dogs. The Iconic Corso Kennel is a place where the wellbeing of each animal is paramount, and breeding decisions are made with the intention of improving and maintaining the highest breed and health standards. We ensure that every Corso has access to the best veterinary care, nutrition, and daily management, mirroring their dignity with our facility’s excellence.

The Breeder -Christopher Torres
Guided By Tradition, Driven By Excellence
Chris’s grandparents bred dogs when he was growing up and even as a boy he knew he’d one day work with dogs professionally. However, though he owned and trained an array of different dogs, he hadn’t fully formed the type of soul bond with any particular breed that is needed to become a breeder. Then, to his great surprise, Chris’s daughter was sold a puppy at the park, a Cane Corso. That dog cracked open Chris’s heart on sight, something about it was special. He researched the breed for years, connected with the community, and over a decade later is proud to have developed a nationally recognized Cane Corso breeding program.
Chris and his wife, Holly, are founding members of the Cane Corso Club of the Rockies (CCCR). This is an AKC recognized, CCAA supported program designed to bring more attention and energy to the Cane Corso community in Colorado. The CCAA is the big dog in the Corso show and breeding world, their breed standard is perceived as the classic standard for Corsos. Due to their support of our new club, the CCCR, a national specialty competition for Cane Corsos will be coming to Colorado.
